Linda Kaua hails from the villages of Fa'alau and Farisi in Malaita, Solomon Islands. Prior to joining PCF, Linda spent about ten years working for regional organisations such as the Forum Fisheries Agency in Solomon Islands and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) in Fiji.
During her time at PIFS, Linda was the Economic Reform Officer and was Team Leader for several initiatives. Part of Linda's work history include teaching economics at the Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (now re-branded as Solomon Islands National University) and a short stint with the United Nations Development Programme's Office in Solomon Islands.
Linda has a Master's degree in Economic Studies from the University of Queensland in Australia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Management & Public Administration from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji.
