The Tahiti Pearl Regatta

With many borders opening in the Pacific Region, several events are back on – including the famous Tahiti Pearl Regatta, now marking its 18th Edition.

Taking place from 25-28 May, it is an international sporting event that usually features 40-50 sailing boats and up to 300 crew members.

Known for being a festive regatta event, it starts with a two-day registration phase in the village of Raiatea. During this time there are fun events and promotions that focus on the importance of marine ecosystem preservation.

The regatta event takes place between Raiatea and Ta’aha in a course made up of six stages – including the Race of the 4 passes, and the  ‘Tahitian Pearl Race’. This stunning event showcases the beauty of Tahiti.
