The digital fashion show event provided an opportunity to increase PCF’s profile as a key partner in the fashion sector in the Pacific, and enable a key opportunity for young Maori and Pacific emerging fashion design students from the NZ School of Arts and Fashion, and emerging models, to connect with established New Zealand and Pacific Designers, and models.

Local Rotorua designer Kharl WiRepa of Maori and Chinese descent, who was a special guest at the PFFS in Association with PCF ‘Polynation’ fashion show in Wellington, is hugely supportive and passionate about fostering iwi and Polynesian connections, and working together to collectively package and showcase Pacific and Maori fashion to an international audience. He will be featuring his own fashion range in an up and coming fashion show in Rotorua on 20 February, to mark Chinese New Year. This event has been described as, ”A night of fashion and entertainment, fusing Chinese and Māori culture”.

As a follow on from the PCF’’s sponsorship of PFFS in Association with PCF digital fashion show in Wellington, PCF Management Consultant Afamasaga Jackie Curry will travel with PFFS Creative Director Nora Swann, to attend the fashion show in Rotorua on 20 February.

The PCF looks forward to supporting and collaborating with key groups and individuals to increase awareness of, and support the opportunities that exist for the Pacific Fashion Industry.
