PCF is excited to welcome its newest team member, Programme Development Manager Linda Kaua. Linda has roots from the villages of Fa’alau and Farisi in Malaita, Solomon Islands. Prior to joining us, she spent a decade working for regional organisations, which include the Forum Fisheries Agency in Solomon Islands and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in Fiji.
At the Forum Secretariat, Linda served as the Economic Reform Officer. She was Team Leader for initiatives such as air services, the Pacific Islands Air Services Agreement review’s implementation and a regional priority on information and communications technology.
Her career included several years of teaching economics at the Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (now rebranded as Solomon Islands National University), and a stint with the United Nations Development Programme’s Office in the Solomons.
Linda has a Master’s degree in Economic Studies from the University of Queensland in Australia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Management & Public Administration from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji.
She is passionate about seeing our Pacific people, communities and businesses realise improvements in their wellbeing and overall operations. Linda looks forward to working with them to tap into opportunities that will enable them to thrive.
